Carolina RISE stands for Respect, Integrity, Strength and Excellence.  We expect this from all our student athletes and coaches that join our organization.  We are a non-profit company with a 501(c)(3) designation with a mission statement to help all players develop their skills, athleticism and character in a positive team setting.  All players are expected to keep a 2.5 gpa while playing basketball for the RISE.

2010 TEAMS:  The 2010 travel basketball season is not far away.  We will be fielding the following teams this upcoming year at the following age groups:

11U Boys - 5th grade   11U Girls - 6th grade
12U Boys - 6th grade   12U Girls - 7th grade
13U Boys - 7th grade   13U Girls - 8th grade
14U Boys - 8th grade

Call backs and makeups will be held on 1/24/10:  11U  4:30p - 5:30p,  12U   5:30p - 6:30p,  13U  6:30p - 7:30p, and 14U boys ONLY 7:30p - 8:30p.

There is no charge for trying out for a RISE team.  The selection committee will determine the final roster with the coaches input being considered.  We may have 2 teams at a particular age group - if we believe we can support both from a competitiveness and gym time standpoint.

Costs:  The cost to play varies by team based on such factors as:  practice time - all at Carolina Courts, tournaments entered, possible sponsorship, fundraising efforts, etc.   Each team will have their own budget that is set after the coach determines the tournaments and the final team is formed.

2009 Information:  Last year our girls teams did very well in the travel basketball circuit - we have 3 banners hanging proudly based on their accomplishments here at Carolina Courts!  Some of our older girls received scholarship offers and have verbally committed to very good schools.  Virginia Tech, UNC Chapel Hill, George Washington and Colgate, to name a few.   We will be posting our Alumni Page towards the end of the year for a full list of past players and where they are committing to play college basketball. 

For those that do not make our RISE teams, we will have a variety of choices for them.  We will have leagues, clinics, and even a NEW Full Court Player Development program that has sessions spanning out up to 8 months for the serious athlete.
