Personal Training:

At Carolina Courts, we believe learning and developing fundamental skills early is the key to playing better volleyball and preparing your child for their school ball goals (Whether it be Middle School, High School or College).  We also understand how much a player can improve with a little extra attention and guidance of good instructors.  Everyone will have the opportunity to work with some of the best coaches/teachers of volleyball in the area.  Players will have the opportunity to pick an instructor of their choice and work in a one on one session or a small group session.  If you are looking to get an edge on the competition, come try a session with our knowledgable instructors!

Personal Trainers:

Shelton Collier: Shelton is currently the Head Coach at Wingate University. He has been named the South Atlantic Coach of the Year the previous two years and has lead the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament the past 5 out of 6 years. Collier has over 27 years of college coaching experience including an 11 year stay at Georgia Tech. The past several summers, Collier was the head coach for the USA Youth National Team. Collier has guided two of the Youth National Teams to a gold place medal in the NORECCA Championships. The 2003 Youth National Team finished 4th in the World Championships, the best any USA Youth team has ever finished. Collier was an All American Setter at Ohio State University where he lead the Buckeye's to three consecutive Final Four appearances. Shelton has the ability and knowledge to develop any player and is ideal for players looking to get to the next level! (Elite Level)

Barbie Curry: Barbie is the Director of Program and Events at Carolina Courts. Barbie wan an outstanding high school athlete and played her college volleyball at Wingate University under Head Coach Shelton Collier. Barbie was an team MVP for two years and an all conference 1st team selection her senior year. Barbie has 8 years of coaching experince including two years as being the Graduate Assistant Coach at Wingate under Shelton Collier. Barbie has spent her summers doing camps for Elon University, UNCC, Florida State and High Perfomance. With having one of the best mentors in the game, she is great at working with players of all ages. (Advance Level)

Melissa Deluca: Melissa Deluca is the current Graduate Assistant Coach at Wingate University. Melissa played club volleyball for Triangle Volleyball Club out of Raleigh, NC. She went on to be one of the best setters to ever pass through Wingate University. Under Collier's coaching, Melissa is Wingate all time assist leader with 4,869. She finished with a school record of 10.99 assist per game. During her playing career Melissa lead Wingate to two SAC Conference Tournament Championships and two SAC Regular Season Championships. Melissa finished off her playing career as being named All American Honorable Mention and the SAC Tournament MVP. Melissa has the ability to work with anyone in developing the potential to be a top setter. (Intermediate Level)

John Brannon: John Brannon is currently the head coach at Butler High School. In his first season, he lead the girl's varsity team to the NC4A Western Regional Semifinals and finished with a record of 20-6. John has also coached boys during his coaching career in Madera High School in California. John competed as a volleyball player in high school at Madera High School. John also has experience coaching club for Union Volleyball Club. (Intermediate Level)

Brian Bistreich: Brain is currently the club coach at UNCC. He has over 5 year of coaching club experience and also has been working with High Performance for more than 4 years. He has the ability to work with players of all ages. (Advanced Level)
