Admission fees (along with team registration fees) cover the costs of operating the league or tournament. Operating costs are higher for competitive tournaments relative to most school, church or recreational leagues. Our competitive leagues and tournaments do not benefit from tax dollars or charitable support, and we therefore must cover the full operating costs of leagues and tournaments, which include:
- Referees
- Scorekeepers
- Trainers (when applicable)
- Admissions staff
- Facility set-up, cleaning and re-set
- Registration and league/tournament software
- League/tournament management (scheduling, brackets, issue resolution)
- Operating costs for Carolina Courts facilities (includes mortgage, property taxes, insurance, computer & phone systems, utilities, landscaping, maintenance, repairs, equipment and customer service personnel)
- Rent and supervisor fees for any use of outside (non-Carolina Courts) facilities such as school or church gymnasiums
