Session 1 is designed to give players an in-depth preview of the tryout experience while teaching them exactly how to stand out in the most important areas. This session places a strong emphasis on defensive communication, helping athletes learn how to be vocal, confident, and team-oriented on the court. Players will receive guidance on how to position themselves to lead drills, stay prepared, and show coaches they’re engaged and ready at all times. The clinic also highlights what coaches look for in impactful players, including hustle habits, effort, attitude, and consistency. Alongside this, athletes will develop key leadership qualities, from encouraging teammates to maintaining a strong presence throughout the workout. This session is perfect for players who want to maximize their tryout performance and make a lasting impression.
Tryout Training 3v3 (1/27)
Tryout Training 3v3 Academy dives deeper into game readiness by teaching players how to apply core offensive and defensive principles in a fast paced, small sided setting. This second session uses 3v3 drills and live scrimmages to help athletes learn how to think, react, and compete with purpose. Offensively, players will work on proper spacing, moving without the ball, and creating advantages by attacking defenders, all while learning how to make quick, smart decisions in tight situations.
Defensively, the clinic emphasizes on-ball pressure, effective ball-screen coverage, and strong help-side defense, guiding athletes through real game rotations and communication. With constant action, built-in teaching moments, and competitive 3v3 play, this clinic ensures every participant gets meaningful touches, impactful reps, and a clearer understanding of how to succeed in a tryout environment.
Tryout Training Day 3 (1/28)
Tryout Training Session 3 is all about elevating each player’s offensive toolbox and preparing them to shine in competitive, game like situations. This session dives into a variety of scoring moves, helping athletes create separation, attack the rim, and finish with confidence. Players will sharpen their shooting mechanics through repetition-based drills and learn to make quick, accurate passes that keep the offense flowing. Up-tempo transition offensive drills will train athletes to read the floor, run lanes effectively, and convert fast-break opportunities. The clinic also features attack-and-retreat drills, teaching players how to react to defensive pressure, change pace, and make decisive moves that translate directly to live play. With nonstop engagement, guided instruction, and competitive action, this session gives players everything they need to be dynamic and impactful offensive threats during tryouts.
